DEER QUALITY WAS GREAT

"I was able to go up to Apple Creek Whitetails with my two sons, one was 14 and the other 27 at the time. You guys met our expectations in every way. The accommodations are great! Food is really good and plentiful. Downtime during mid-day makes for a nice relaxed hunting trip/vacation. My sons enjoyed meeting other guest and the game room/community room. The deer cleaning room was the best I had ever seen. It was even so easy to just walk across the street to meet with the on-site taxidermist. My son even slipped and damaged his scope to the point the gun could not be used. So the Ranch Manager went back in to get basically the same gun/caliber while we waited in the deer blind. It was that gun that my son shot his prize deer, which is now mounted in his bedroom. It is definitely a hunting lodge where you can bring the entire family. Deer quality was great. Reviewing trail cam photos before going out is really helpful. One can actually narrow down the category of deer before heading out. The staff was great and friendly at all areas starting with picking us up at the airport to ending with delivery to our home in Texas the following summer with our two deer mounts. My son enjoyed the fact that the cook was a Cowboys fan and the Cowboys had just played the Packers. We knew we were in rival territory. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Made us feel right at home with family. We will definitely recommend Apple Creek Whitetails to others. We are definitely planning on returning in the future, hopefully next year. My 15 year old talks about returning constantly."

WE COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT WALKED OUT OF THE WOODS

"My boyfriend, David, found Apple Creek when he did a search for a whitetail deer hunt a few years ago and has been watching the site ever since hoping to one day go on a hunt. For my 50th birthday gift, David surprised me with the gift of a hunt of a lifetime!! He and I flew into Green Bay and were picked up at the airport. We were taken to the cabin after an incredible tour of the property. The cabin is beautiful! I enjoyed some coffee on the balcony overlooking the woods after our morning hunts! Absolutely beautiful and quite relaxing. They have a terrific cook who made so much food! We truly enjoyed the cooking. The deer were impressive, to say the least! Every time we would marvel about a buck, our Guide would say, “Just wait, he’s a little one.” We couldn’t believe what walked out of the woods. We so enjoyed watching the deer, even got to see a couple of buck’s lock antlers for a good 20 minutes! I really enjoyed learning about the genetics and the health and welfare of the animals. We recommend Apple Creek to anyone who wants to go on a deer hunt – and we are already scheduled to return – with friends!! I can hardly wait to see my 18 point buck mounted and on the wall!"

KODAK MOMENTS FOR SURE

"My name is Steve and I live outside Parachute Colorado. I learned of Apple Creek through my brother who had hunted there. He loved it so much that he wanted to go back and gave me a call to see if I was interested for a hunt. He was bringing a group of four from St Louis so I brought a group of four from Colorado, my son, brother in law and two neighbors. When we all arrived, I was blown away by pristine and the beauty of the property with a lake and the wooded forests, a huge log lodge building and another beautiful log cabin with a deck and fire pit. We were immediately greeted by all the staff and made at home. Had lunch and met all the guides and we all teamed up with the guides we would hunt with. We then went to the viewing area, all the blinds have cameras, and viewed pictures of the deer they have there. It can be over whelming do to the fact Apple Creek has everything from Typical to non-typical, standard to insanely huge racks. I was looking for a 300 class rack and the guide pointed a few out that I chose to go after and so did the others. We then spent the rest of the afternoon driving around, getting the lay of the land, then had dinner and drinks, dreamin of the hunt to be. Next morning had a great breakfast and then were taken to our blinds. It takes a lot of patience not to pull the trigger. One minute the field of view in front of you is empty and then 10 minutes later it is full of the most magnificent whitetails you will ever see, Kodak moments for sure. Then the field would empty out and then fill back up with another group and this went on all morning then same thing in the afternoon waiting on the one I wanted. The whitetail I was hunting had a non-typical rack while I was waiting, a heavy beamed typical looking with a big drop tine came out and I was tempted to shoot but took a picture of it instead. My patience was reward and my heart skipped a beat when I saw my deer. All I can say is it is on the wall. Half the hunters shot the first day, while the others waited patiently for theirs to show. At dinner I showed around the picture of the big typical drop down tine deer I took a picture of earlier to the guides and asked what it would score. The answer was in the high 200s. I said next time that is what I want and they said why next time you can shoot it on this trip. So I did and went home with two great trophies. My son who was the only bow hunter, he shot a dandy and he was smiling from ear to ear for weeks. In fact we all shot what we came for and my son wasn’t the only one smiling for weeks. The one thing about Apple Creek that I liked most was not the five star service and accommodations we received, it was the operation itself. Apple Creek prides itself on its genetics. By this I mean, in today’s world sustainability is the buzz word in food, energy, etc., why not hunting, especially for trophy whitetails. My opinion as more and more hunters seek trophy kills, through attrition in the wild it will eventually deplete the gene pools in the wild. As I said earlier Apple Creek prides itself on the genetics of their stock and pass it down from generation to generation creating great stock for trophy hunting that will be passed on from generation to generation of hunters. In closing I would like to say, I will be back with other hunters so I can share with them the great experience I had on that hunt. Then they can show off their trophies like I am now LOL I would like to thank the Management, staff and guides for a great hunting experience."
